Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Decided to take a break from cutting and chopping for tomorrow's dinner and wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I know I have so much to be thankful for.  Why, I'm even enjoying the preparations.  I will be spending the day with my son and his family and my daughter and her family.  What could be better.  I also wanted to show you Sophie Snowberry completed.  She is a half-moon shaped pillow.  Isn't she just too cute.  Good job Patty!!

Here's the Hoosier.  Just don't look at anything else.  My kitchen is "under construction" and isn't looking its bets.  However, I think the Hoosier looks fantastic.  I'm going to close now and get back to work.  Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good Morning

Hooray!! The Hoosier finally made it's way safely to my kitchen and I love it.  Now for some rug hooking news.  Lil Sis and I have been working on another new design. As you can see, it is a "Welcome" with a really cool border.  When I was at her house earlier this week, I got a current pic. What do you think?  I think it is terrific.  However, I believe the cat will have a new appearance.  Patty is not very happy with him at present.
Aren't the colors great?  I really like the bittersweet stem on the left.  It has two different backgrounds, which I think is really cool.  I'll post new pics when available.  I'm working on a design as well.  It is a folk art angel, but I'm just not ready to post a picture just yet.  She keeps changing - what can I say - and there is another design forming in my brain that I think I must might work on today.
It's a chilly day here in western PA - a perfect day for playing in wool don't you think.  There sure are a lot of other things I could be doing today, but I feel I'm being led towards some hooking.  What's everyone working on?  Anyone doing a Christmas project?  Actually, I love doing something Christmas-like right after Christmas. Sounds strange, huh?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone, stay warm and do something you love.

One October Day

It all began on a beautiful October day.  Last Friday myself and my two dear friends (AKA the twins) Karen and Sharon were taking a road trip in Karen's truck to East Palestine, OH.  That's where my sister lives and we were going to pick up a Hoosier that I was getting from my sister.  This was my third attempt to pick up the elusive Hoosier.  It takes about an hour to get to Patty's house .  We were about 40 minutes into the trip, driving down a perfectly idyllic country road when suddenly the truck began to sputter and jerk then suddenly the engine died.  We were able to steer the truck almost completely off the road.  We then had to call AAA to have the truck towed all the way home.  It took about 45 minutes for the tow truck to get to us, so what do three "hookers" do with all that time - Well check it out -  This is me sitting in the truck because I was FREEZING .......  Karen decided she would keep an eye out for the tow truck and .......  Sharon was just going to hitch a ride to Patty's without us..... Finally the truck arrived and so did PattyNeedless to say, the Hoosier is still in Ohio!!!!  Oh well, another day.
